Today in class we had a chance to delve into the workings of surround sound. We've listened to The Beatles Love a few times in class and it was mind boggling. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a 5.1 system. It sounds amazing. The Conservatory's Studio D control room has five M&K MPS-2510PK self- powered monitors, so I was like the guy from the Maxell ad.
So, I've decided that I'm going to mix my latest demo reel track, "A Siege!," in 5.1 surround sound. You can listen to the original by clicking demo reel in the menu above. I will find a way to release it on this web page when it is completed, so that all of you with 5.1 systems can get down with it!
This cycle in school is mainly focused on post production, which I'm psyched about. In two more cycles, I'll be in the video game coursework where we get our certification in Audiokinetic's Wwise middleware. I can't wait.
